Amanda is the owner of Rising Stars Dance Studio and is honored to have been given the opportunity to choreograph this musical. She got her first taste in musical theater as a senior in high school and fell in love. Musical theater dance classes quickly became a favorite of hers to teach at her studio and she is thrilled to be working with The Acting Company for the first time. Of course, being a mom of 3, owning a small business where she teaches 20+ dance classes and choreo-graphing an entire musical wasn’t keeping her busy enough – so she also auditioned for the role of Miss Honey! She wants to thank all of her friends and staff who have helped so that she can take on this opportunity, to her dance students who have helped push her out of her comfort zone, the wonderful cast of Matilda or welcoming her with open arms, and especially to her husband who has shown endless support in all her endeavors and never forgets to tell her how wonderful she is.

I am also thrilled to finally work with director Foster McManus. Matilda is a very special, magical children’s story, and the cast and crew have worked so hard to bring you that magic. We hope you laugh, cry, and enjoy the show!
